Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000 annually

Monthly Bonus: Based on performance outcomes

Cell Phone Allowance: $100.00 monthly

Auto Allowance: $400.00 monthly

Retirement 3% match of gross salary

Medical Insurance 70% of premium


Paid Time Off: 17 days Holiday Annually plus Sick time and PTO earned monthly

Position Summary

The Executive Vice President of Economic Development is responsible for managing the economic development efforts in alignment with the CEO’s direction, provides leadership and oversight for the Economic Development initiatives of Partnership Lake Houston, personally executing the following responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities in the Lake Houston Area include:

  • Attract new businesses within targeted industries (advanced mfg., bio, distribution, etc.)
  • Supporting retention and expansion of existing businesses
  • Conducting community outreach and engagement initiatives
  • Leading and contributing to strategic economic development planning
  • Coordinating with key stakeholders, local agencies, and regional partners
  • Driving efforts that directly impact the growth and vitality of the local economy

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Business Attraction, Retention & Expansion

  • Develop and lead a Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) Program
  • Recruit and support new and existing businesses
  • Create marketing and recruitment strategies
  • Facilitate incentive package development
  • Respond to inquiries and present economic development proposals

Develop, Engage and Grow Partnerships

  • Coordinate economic development efforts with cities, schools, and workforce partners
  • Maintain active collaboration with developers, brokers, and business leaders
  • Support economic initiatives such as downtown development in Humble, TX
  • Participate in regional, state, and national economic development events
  • Maintain property and site inventories

Communication & Outreach

  • Develop quarterly and annual economic reports
  • Maintain communication with local governments and partners
  • Contribute to publications and present economic data to stakeholders
  • Represent the region at conferences and trade shows

Data & Information Management

  • Establish and track key economic indicators
  • Maintain databases of available properties and economic metrics
  • Provide research and market analysis for Lake Houston Area

Strategic Planning

  • Benchmark and integrate best practices
  • Identify new opportunities and respond to changing conditions
  • Collaborate with leadership and stakeholders to update economic strategies
