Partnership Lake Houston is committed to helping businesses connect, protect, and grow in their communities. One of the ways we accomplish this is by hosting events throughout the year that provide opportunities for networking, economic growth, and leadership development.
Elected Officials Reception
The Annual Elected Officials Reception recognizes and honors the local, state, and federal elected officials who represent the Lake Houston Area. The connection event recognizes each elected official and allows the business community a chance to have one-on-one conversations with elected officials or representatives’ officials or representatives.
Legislative Trips to Austin & D.C.
The Partnership delegation will meet with senators and members of congress and receive briefings on federal legislation and regulatory policies that will impact business and our community. Trips to Austin take place on odd-numbered years, trips to Washington DC take place on even-numbered years.
Annual Awards Extravaganza
The Annual Awards Extravaganza is a time-honored tradition, where the Lake Houston Area’s business community gathers to welcome in our new leaders with the installation of our new Board Chair, Board of Directors and Committee Chairs. The event will honor exemplary leaders in the Lake Houston Area through prestigious awards such as the Dr. Haden McKay Citizen of the Year Award, Spirit of the Chamber Award, Chairman’s Award & Rising Star Award. Join us as we pass the gavel and raise a glass to the companies and volunteers who partner with us to be the voice of business, create jobs, and help our members and community thrive.
Partnership Golf Classic
The Annual Chamber Classic has been Lake Houston area’s premier business golf tournament for nearly three decades. Held at The Club of Kingwood, the Golf Classic offers our sponsors tremendous marketing exposure, and an incomparable day of golf on a course that has consistently been ranked among the top in the state. This event provides the perfect venue for players to connect with business owners and community members, to win great prizes and to enjoy outstanding food while experiencing course exclusivity during the tournament.
Party on the Green
Party on the Green is the Lake Houston area’s premiere event. This entertaining, but relaxed party, celebrates Partnership Lake Houston and its members with food, drinks, music, contests including corn hole and axe throwing tournament, auction and more while interacting with Lake Houston Area’s business
leaders.

Every year, the Partnership hosts top investors from the Lake Houston community to review the previous year’s economic development and plan strategically for the future direction. By setting aside time each year, it is our goal to highlight partnerships that have contributed to positive results and reconsider programs that weren’t performing well.
A panel of national and local experts present key economic indicators and forecast what businesses can expect on a local, state, and national level.
This luncheon is an opportunity to engage the business community in a conversation with our national leaders about the future of our country.
The Women in Business Breakfast will bring together and celebrate women leaders and professionals from across the Lake Houston Area. The breakfast will serve to connect businesswomen with each other and grow their relationships while promoting an environment of support and inclusion. The Breakfast will feature an inspiring guest speaker and will honor one local businesswoman for her leadership and success in business who will receive an “ATHENA” leadership award.
Previously known as “Peace Officers and Firefighters of the Year,” this annual luncheon and award show honors the Lake Houston Area first responders. Each local station has chosen one honoree that has shown outstanding dedication in their duties through the past year.

The Partnership announces the “Top 4 Under 40” and “Distinguished Alumni” at this prestigious awards ceremony.
Honoring the healthcare community and recognizing the great impact the industry has in the Lake Houston Area, this luncheon will feature a guest speaker from the healthcare industry.
Committed to improving the transportation, mobility, and accessibility of the Lake Houston area, this luncheon will focus on the status of the major roadway projects.

The Teachers of the Year luncheon honors exceptional teachers from Humble ISD, Lake Houston Area private schools, and higher education institutions. It’s the business community’s opportunity to thank our area educators.
