    More than 400 members, elected officials, dignitaries and guests are expected to gather for the Chamber’s Annual Chairman’s Ball on January 27. The 2011 Board Chair Michael Byers will pass the gavel to 2012 Chair Mark Micheletti at the event which will feature dinner, silent and live auctions and guest speaker Jim Olson, former CIA Officer.

  • BizCom

    What’s happening in your community and in your schools? Come find out at your community’s BizCom meeting. Held quarterly at the community’s high school, BizCom Groups in Atascocita, Humble, Kingwood and Summer Creek are a blend of business professionals, community members and school officials who all meet together to discuss their community. The meetings feature speakers who address issues or needs and time for group discussion. Come be an active voice in growing your community!
  • Awards Luncheon

    Join us on January 17 as we shine the spotlight on community leadership at its best by honoring individuals in our community and Chamber who have made a difference. The highly anticipated Haden McKay, MD Citizen of the Year Award will be presented as well as the Ambassador of the Year Award. Board Members and Committee Chairs will also be recognized for their leadership as we toast those who make our community tick!

The Chamber of Commerce in the Lake Houston Area is the organized voice for the quality of life and business related issues at the local, state and federal level of government and is the front door to our community for tourism and business relocation information.

Our Purpose

1The Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce is a voluntary organization of professional business men and women who have joined together for the purpose of promoting the civic and commercial progress of our combined communities.

Our Mission

2The mission of the Lake Houston Area Chamber of Commerce is a cooperative effort of business people to attract new business, support and strengthen the business environment, serve the needs of the members, and cooperate with civic leaders and other interested parties to promote community growth.

Primary Functions

31. To act as the spokesperson for the business community, and translate into action the group thinking of its members; and
2. To provide specific services of a type that can be most effectively rendered by a community organization, both to its members and the community as a whole.
