The Partnership Lake Houston offers a variety of Project Teams and Task Forces committed to the advancement of Chamber initiatives through volunteerism. Our teams and volunteer leaders are the driving force behind the Chamber’s success and progression. The Chamber encourages members to participate with the committees. The Ambassador Team is a dedicated group of volunteers focused on increasing the membership retention rate, developing and implementing a comprehensive new member mentoring program and attending Chamber networking events. Bizcom Steering Committees
The Bizcom Steering Committees plan and execute meetings in the communities of Atascocita, Humble, Kingwood and Summer Creek.
Chamber Event Committees
Chamber Event Committees work on specific projects and are only active during preparation for a program, event or special assignment. An example is the annual Lake Houston 10k 5k 1k Committee.
Lake Houston Long Term Recovery Task Force
This committee was created following the flooding in the Lake Houston Area from Hurricane Harvey. The purpose is to bring community stakeholders together to evaluate the community’s needs in order to prepare and execute a long term recovery plan. The Task Force is a concerted effort of municipalities, schools, colleges, employers, nonprofits etc., neighborhood councils and social service organizations to work together to assist in recovering the Lake Houston Area.
Public Affairs Team
The Public Affairs Team advocates on behalf of our business community and educate members about legislative and transportation issues affecting our local economy.
