Annual Awards Extravaganza
The Lake Houston Area Chamber celebrates the installation of our new Board Chair and board of directors each January. The Extravaganza will also be a celebration of the past year’s outstanding volunteer leaders and accomplishments. This premier event features the presentation of the Dr. Haden McKay, Citizen of the Year Award, Spirit of the Chamber Award and the Rising Star Award. It also honors the outgoing Chairman of the Board, Board of Directors and committee, event and task force chairs. Approximately 200 attend each year.
Legistlative Trip to Austin/Washington
The Chamber delegation will meet with senators and members of congress and receive briefings on federal legislation and regulatory policies that will impact business and our community. Trips to Austin take place on odd-numbered years, trips to Washington DC take place on even-numbered years.
Annual Chamber Golf Classic
Each spring hundreds of golfers participate in one of the most highly anticipated golf tournaments in the Lake Houston Area. This tournament is an excellent opportunity to mix and mingle with leaders of the Lake Houston Area business community and to promote your business.
Party on the Green
Party on the Green, Lake Houston’s premiere event welcomes over 400 guests for a great party. Guests will enjoy dinner, drinks, auctions, a corn hole tournament an after party and more.
Lake Houston 10k 5k + Kids 1k
The Lake Houston 10k 5k + 1K Kids Race has helped put our community on the map as a place to come for health and wellness events. The race showcases our community to residents from across Greater Houston Area as a vibrant place to live, work and play! Nearly 1,000 runners participated last year.
Elected Officials Reception
The Elected Officials Reception honors all local, state, and national elected officials for the Lake Houston Area. This event is great exposure for your business and provides opportunity for many one-on-one interactions with area elected officials.
