Chamber Newsroom
The Newsroom is a collection of press releases from the Chamber and our Members. It is used as a resource by the community and local media outlets. Member press releases from the Chamber Newsroom are shared in the Weekly Update E-Newsletter and on the Chamber Twitter feed.

2. Click the “Share” tab then click “Create” next to News Release
3. Fill out the form, Save and Submit your News Release
1. Basic press releases have an engaging lead paragraph and tell the basic, who, what, where, why and when of your news, event or program.
2. Add a boilerplate about your company. Essentially, this is the About Us section of your press release. It should provide a high-level overview of your company and what you do. You may already have something like this on your website.
3. Our system does not allow members to post graphics or photos in the Newsroom. If you’d like to add a graphic, submit your press release for approval then email the graphic to and we’ll add it. Make sure to include a caption for your photos!
4. We use Arial 12 point font for the Newsroom, so don’t spend too much time formatting
5. Our system does not recognize special characters in release titles so avoid them if possible.

The Events Calendar on the Chamber website is great resource. All the Chamber’s programs and events are posted here, and that’s how you get information and RSVP. We invite our members to post their events to the calendar, and even encourage the surrounding community to participate.

3. Fill out the form, Save and Submit your Event
1. Choose an engaging event title. Example, “Keep It Cool Back to School Supply Drive”
2. Check your spelling and punctuation
3. Clean, simple to read formatting is best. Win them over with cleaver event marketing, not bright colors and too much bolding
4. Visibility – make sure you Check “Display on Public Events Calendar” and “Display on Members Only Calendar” (continued on next page)
5. Event Categories – this is a very important step that is often overlooked! People usually search by category. Check all the boxes that fit your event for the best chance of being found!
