The Lake Houston Young Entrepreneurs and Professionals program (YEP) is centered around a quality group of diverse young professionals working together to showcase Lake Houston as a great place to live, work and play. YEP focuses on three pillars of programming: social and networking events, professional development and civic engagement, providing its members with opportunities to get in front of and build relationships with local community and business leaders while building contacts among peers. Not only does YEP give young professionals a voice – it gives them an outlet for affecting change in the Lake Houston community. YEP seeks to work hand-in-hand with current community and business leaders to learn from their experiences and to create a young professional-friendly atmosphere. YEP will host one fall 2016 event and a minimum of seven events will be held through 2017.

Three Pillars of YEP Programming: Social and Networking, Professional Development and Civic Engagement
Social and Networking will cover events such as mixers, luncheons and other fun events for the group, where you can get to know a large number of young professionals across different industries and make new contacts.
Professional Development will allow you to interact with local CEOs or brush up on professional skills during scheduled events.
Civic Engagement events and programs will inform our membership about local elections and issues, and learn about various boards and committees that help our community.

Annual YEP Membership dues provides you free access to all YEP Events through 2017:
January 25, 2017 – Social & Networking – Painting with Young Professionals presented by Insperity
February 2017 – Professional Development
April 2017 – Civic Engagement
